Grannie Clara's Tennessee Kush

With soup season upon us, here is Justine's favorite comfort food recipe.


Kush Recipe

  • 15 oz can of golden sweet corn

  • 14.5 oz can of cut green beans

  • 14.5 oz can of petite diced tomatoes

  • 8.5 oz can of peas and carrots

  • 15 oz can of tomato sauce

  • 8.5 oz can of Lima beans

  • 11 oz can of white corn

  • 15 oz can tri-color beans

  • 32 oz vegetable broth

  • 6 oz vegetable pasta

  • 12 oz bag of frozen okra

  • 12 oz bag of frozen seasoning blend vegetables

  • 1 pound stew beef

  • Season with your heart: Garlic Salt, Black pepper, Onion powder, Tony Chachere Creole Seasoning

Cooking Instructions:

Boil pasta until fully cooked. (Don't forget to season your pasta water!) Combine pasta with vegetables and broth in a large pot and cook on medium heat. While vegetables and broth are cooking, in a medium sized skillet, cook the stew beef to your desired temperature. Once beef is cooked, add it into the vegetable pot with seasonings. Cook low and slow until vegetables are tender.


Pro tip: Serve with shredded cheddar cheese and sourdough toast with butter.
